Benjamin FOURNIER

Benjamin FOURNIER

(DDS, PhD, HDR)
Current Position:  Professor
Biological Sciences Paris Diderot University, Dental Faculty Garancière
Oral Biology Department (Head)  Rothschild Hospital- Reference Center for Oral Rare Diseases
Our group focuses on oral healing. Our favorite model is the oral mucosa ad integrum healing model with the associated fibroblasts and stem cells. We also explored the embryo lineages of oral structures. In parallel with lineages cartography, we study the  specificities of their transcriptomes and proteomes. By determining these, we hope to better understand oral rare diseases.

Juliane Isaac (PhD)

Current Position: Associate Professor – Dental School of the  University Paris Diderot
Engineer formation in Applied Biology. Mention: Biomaterial and BiomechanicsUniversity of Technology of Compiegne (UTC), Compiegne, France.
Ph.D, Paris Descartes University
Post-doc. Host lab: Developmental Skin Biology Section, National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS)/ National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, MD, USA
Post-doc. Host Lab: Laboratory of Morphogenesis Molecular Genetics, Department of Developmental & Stem Cells Biology, Institut Pasteur, Paris, France
Research Focus Areas :Juliane Isaac’s projects aims at determining the putative impact of the localization and the embryonic origin – neural crest or mesoderm – into the bone-forming abilities of various stem cells and progenitor populations in order to identify the optimal cell sources for alveolar bone reconstruction and craniofacial regeneration, and propose new oral cell therapy and hybrid biomaterials.

Enter short description about the team member

Sophia Houari

(DDS, PhD)
Current position: Associate Professor of Biology
Hospital practitioner in aesthetic dentistry, AP-HP Pitié Salpétrière Hospital, Paris
Member of rare diseases reference center (OSCAR Rothschild Hospital, Paris)
Dr Sophia HOUARI is a specialist in the field of hard dental tissues and their formation by specific epithelial or mesenchymal cells (ameloblasts for enamel and odontoblasts for dentin).
She studies precisely the impact of fluoride on gene expression in vivo in rodents and in vitro.  She is interested in environmental enamel defects (Fluorosis, MIH,  enamel hypomineralization) with a physico-chemical approach associated with clinical research on these pathologies.

François Ferré (DDS, PhD)

Oral Biology, PARIS UNIVERSITY, DENTAL FACULTY Montrouge

Head of dental department in Charles Foix Hospital-oral surgery department.

My research relates to the properties of mesenchymal cells derived from the oral mucosa. I aim to understand their mechanisms during heaing and to use their potentials for applications in cell therapy. We privileged a transversal approach with data coming FROM BASIC research, animals experimentations and the clinics.                                                                              francois.ferre@parisdescartes.fr
